Koop are an electronic jazz duo from Sweden. The lead song on this album is one of my favourite songs. It’s is a beautiful smokey jazz tune underpinned by electronica.
This is a great CGI short and a great dramatic fantasy story, but for me the exciting thing about this film is that it uses ‘Blender’, a free software application for animation created and supported by the same foundation.
I absolutely loved this trilogy. I also love the fact Hugh Howey self-published the first part of Wool as a short and received such positive feedback he released another four parts.
What a beautiful hypnotic melodic noisefest; the highlight being the 16 minute final track, Revisiting; a truly wonderful psychadelic drone that has your mind surfing along a dark dystopian cityscape hoping beyond all hope you’ll make it to the end.
